The firm is a merger of two well established Sacramento area civil engineering firms of Kent Baker & Associates (KBA) and Glenn F. Williams Civil Engineering and Surveying (GFW). KBA was established in 1986. GFW was established in 1960. Both firms have been active in providing land development services throughout Northern California for both the private sector and for public agencies.

BAKER-WILLIAMS ENGINEERING GROUP has expanded its capabilities while continuing to specialize in construction staking, project coordination, land planning, civil engineering consulting and design, mapping and boundary surveys. The unique and broad experiences of the key members of the firm provide the ability to effectively deal with all types of civil engineering projects.

The firm has established a reputation for excellence by stressing contractor coordination during construction, quick turnaround time in getting projects approved and engineering that will minimize construction costs, while providing a quality product.  Each of our clients is considered important and is provided the same courteous and efficient service.

Through the years, the firm has participated in many projects requiring extensive coordination efforts between project consultant team and the public agencies, land planners and the contractors.  As a result, many consultant relationships have developed which allow the firm to provide a long list of references for complex projects which may require a team effort.
